Panama has registered 2,468 cumulative cases of dengue fever in the first five months of the year, with seven deaths.
Bocas del Toro reports three deaths, Los Santos two, and Colón and Coclé one each. The Metropolitan Region leads with 630 cases, followed by Colón with 430. The week of May 3-9 saw an increase in cases.
The 10-14 age group is the most affected. The public is urged to take preventive measures.
