Update on Local Dengue Cases in Florida, USA

Health authorities in the state of Florida, USA, reported four additional locally acquired dengue cases during the past week. One case was in Hillsborough County and three cases were in Miami-Dade County.

So far in 2024, 14 locally acquired dengue cases have been reported in Hillsborough (2), Miami-Dade (9), Monroe (2), and Pasco (1) counties.

Of the 12 typed cases, four are DENV-1 and eight are DENV-3.

The number of imported cases in the state this year stands at 252.
