As of 2024, a total of 46 cases of autochthonous dengue have been reported in mainland France.
The geographical distribution is as follows:
- 2 cases in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, in the municipality of Montélimar.
- 3 cases in the Occitanie region, in the municipalities of Montpellier or Pérols (2 possible transmission sites), Aimargues, and Baho or Florac.
- 41 cases in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) region, in the municipalities of La Crau (20 cases), Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes (17 cases), La Colle sur Loup (2 cases), Fréjus (1 case), and Menton (1 case).
One autochthonous case of dengue, detected at the end of July in the town of Aimargues, in Gard, has been invalidated.
