Increase in Dengue Cases in Karnataka, India

An increase in the number of dengue cases has been reported in Karnataka, India.

The cases are nearing 7,000 in the state, with 7 deaths.

The most affected districts are Hassan, Chikmagalur, Bengaluru, and Mysore.

Monsoon rains, along with unfinished road works and the construction of flyovers and underpasses, are increasing the breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
