Health authorities in the Community of Madrid, Spain, have reported 76 cases of dengue so far this year, double the number compared to 2023. All cases are imported.
In the first 24 weeks of 2024, up until June 16, there have been 76 reported cases, which represents double (+105.4%) the number recorded in the same period last year, according to the latest Weekly Epidemiological Bulletin from the Community of Madrid.
The trend in the Community over the last two years points to an increase in dengue cases, with 138 cases in 2023 and 124 in 2022, marking a significant jump compared to 2021, which saw a five-year low of 13 cases.
