Yucatán has implemented a comprehensive dengue control strategy that combines mass fumigation, breeding site control, and Wolbachia technology, achieving an 87.8% reduction in cases compared to the previous year.
Seventy-five municipalities and more than 42,000 hectares have been treated. No deaths have been reported in the state.
The strategy aims to strengthen universal healthcare and disease prevention, avoiding overcrowding in medical facilities and promoting citizen co-responsibility.
