WHO: Global Report on Dengue Cases and Deaths in 2026

Between January and June 2026, 1.6 million cases and more than 700 deaths were reported in 89 countries.

The Region of the Americas accounts for 81% of the cases, with more than 1.3 million. Brazil leads with more than one million cases, followed by Indonesia and Colombia. The Cook Islands have the highest incidence rate (5,000 per 100,000 inhabitants), followed by Guyana and Brazil. Other regions have not yet reached their peak case numbers for 2026.
