From the beginning of the year until June 30, Italy recorded 169 confirmed cases of dengue fever, all imported.
71% of these cases originated in the Maldives. Additionally, 13 confirmed cases of chikungunya were reported (77% with exposure in the Seychelles), along with two cases of Zika virus and no cases of tick-borne encephalitis. No deaths associated with these diseases were reported.
