Quintana Roo has accumulated 153 confirmed cases of dengue through epidemiological week 28 of 2016, representing a 101.3% increase compared to the previous year. Of these, 96 are non-severe, 51 present with warning signs, and six are severe. One confirmed death has been reported, with an incidence rate of 7.15 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The state ranks sixth nationally in incidence. Six cases are severe dengue, an increase compared to the previous year.
Three serotypes of the virus are circulating: DENV-3 (46 samples), DENV-2 (39), and DENV-4 (3).
