Paraguay reports stable numbers of suspected dengue cases, with an average of 102 notifications per week. In the last three weeks (epidemiological weeks 25-27), three new confirmed cases were registered (two in Central Department, one in Presidente Hayes Department), bringing the cumulative total to 288 cases as of July 18, 2016.
No recent hospitalizations or deaths due to dengue have been reported. The municipality of Limpio shows a decrease in cases. However, an increase in suspected cases is observed in Central Department, Asunción, Presidente Hayes, Alto Paraná, Guairá, Caazapá, Concepción, Itapúa, Cordillera, Misiones, and San Pedro.
