Sri Lanka reports a total of 32,071 dengue cases since the beginning of the year. Two additional deaths have been recorded, bringing the total to 17. A three-day mosquito control program will be implemented from June 8 to 10 in high-risk districts due to the rainy weather. Dengue is a viral disease transmitted by mosquitoes, with symptoms including fever, headache, and muscle pain, and can progress to severe cases with hemorrhaging, shock, organ failure, and death.
