The Panamanian Ministry of Health reports an increase in dengue incidence during week 20 of 2026. A total of 2,720 cases have been reported, with 139 new cases in the last week, representing a 5.4% increase.
Cases with warning signs rose to 323, while severe cases remain at 17. Hospitalizations increased to 341, 13 more than the previous week. The national incidence rate is 57.6 per 100,000 inhabitants. Deaths remain at eight, with the highest concentration in Bocas del Toro (3) and Los Santos (2). The most affected age group is 10 to 14 years old.
