The dengue outbreak in Bangladesh has seen a significant increase, with 1,000 additional cases in the past week.
On June 27, 5,628 cases were recorded, rising to 5,800 by June 28.
The death toll has nearly doubled, from seven to 13. A total of 2,603 cases have been reported in June, representing 45% of the annual total. The Barishal district leads with 1,550 cases, followed by Chattogram with 1,088. Mymensingh and South Dhaka City Corporation each reported three deaths.
