Bohol declares a province-wide dengue outbreak following a surge in cases and deaths.
From January 4 to August 22, 2016, 1,883 cases and 21 deaths were recorded. The province has exceeded the epidemic threshold for three consecutive weeks, with a case fatality rate of 1.12%.
The municipalities with the highest incidence are Talibon, Tagbilaran City, Ubay, Getafe, and Tubigon. Prevention and control measures are being intensified.
