Dengue in the Dominican Republic

A total of 94 dengue cases have been reported in the Dominican Republic this year. The most recent cases involve two five-year-old children in Puerto Plata and San Cristóbal. In the past four weeks, 13 cases were recorded—73.5% fewer than in the same period in 2024. The highest incidence was reported in Espaillat (14 cases), Puerto Plata (9), and Valverde (7).
