Sri Lanka has recorded more than 41,000 cases of dengue so far this year.
The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) has declared a Special Dengue Prevention Week from June 15 to 20 to intensify efforts.
The public is urged to take preventative measures such as turning over or covering objects that collect water, draining flowerpots, and cleaning appliance drip trays to prevent mosquito breeding and move towards a dengue-free Sri Lanka.
