As of July 14, 2026, Malaysia has recorded 45,101 cumulative cases of dengue and 34 deaths. In the last 24 hours, 442 new cases were reported. Last month, the cumulative total was 33,367 cases, indicating an increase of more than 10,000 cases in one month.
Selangor is the most affected area with 20,143 cases, followed by the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya (8,286), Johor (5,881), Sabah (3,291), Negeri Sembilan (2,573), and Perak (1,481). Dengue-related deaths have risen to 29, compared to 19 in the same period of 2025. The increase is attributed to cyclical patterns and the dominant serotype, DENV-3. The Klang Valley is the dominant transmission zone.
