Panama has accumulated 2,857 cases of dengue fever and nine deaths as of epidemiological week 21 of 2026.
The Metropolitan Region leads with 710 confirmed cases. A sustained increase in infections is observed, with a national incidence rate of 60.5 per 100,000 inhabitants. Despite a 26% reduction in hospitalizations compared to 2025, the deaths are a cause for concern, with Bocas del Toro and Los Santos reporting three deaths each. The 10-14 age group is the most vulnerable.
