From August 16 to the end of epidemiological week 34, Mali reported 72 new dengue cases: 27 confirmed and 45 suspected, with no new deaths. Of these, 65 cases were recorded in Bamako and seven in Bandiagara. In 2026, there have been a total of 2,219 cases (461 confirmed, 1,758 suspected) and one death, with a case fatality rate of 0.05% across the 11 regions.
Since the outbreak began in September 2023, there have been 22,109 cases (3,053 confirmed, 19,056 suspected) and 75 deaths, with a case fatality rate of 0.34%.
