West Bengal has recorded 4,035 cases of dengue fever as of August 19, with seven officially attributed deaths. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari stated that the situation is under control, comparing it favorably to the previous year when more than 7,600 cases were recorded. Five high-risk districts have been identified: Kolkata, Howrah, North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas, and Murshidabad. At least 148 people have been hospitalized. Residents are urged to maintain vigilance until November and to report dengue cases accurately.
