As of July 21, 2026, Kiribati had recorded 2,188 cases of dengue since April 24, 2025. Of these, 548 were confirmed and 1,640 were suspected, with one death, 68 hospitalizations, and 67 discharges. Between June 23 and July 21, 2026, one new confirmed case and 11 suspected cases were reported, indicating a significant decrease in transmission. The outbreak is concentrated in South Tarawa, with a median age of 15 years (range 1 month–95 years), 54% of those affected being female, and the presence of both DENV-1 and DENV-2 serotypes. The blue alert remains in effect.
