Costa Rica has registered 3,437 cases of dengue in 2026 through epidemiological week 32, an increase of 1,032 cases compared to the same period in 2025. The North Central Region accounts for 1,050 cases, while the Central Pacific Region has the highest incidence rate in the country (240.2 per 100,000 inhabitants). As of August 24, five people were hospitalized with a dengue diagnosis.
