Health authorities in Mexico have reported 83,997 dengue cases in the first 23 weeks of 2024 (EW23). This figure represents a 241% increase compared to the same period last year and a 357% increase compared to the average number of cases reported in the last 5 years.
The states reporting the most cases are Guerrero, Tabasco, and Quintana Roo.
The national cumulative incidence rate is 63 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with 510 cases (0.61%) classified as severe, and 26 related deaths (case fatality rate 0.031%).
