Health authorities in Uruguay have reported 702 locally transmitted cases of dengue in the country so far this year (up to 31/5/2024). Additionally, 410 imported cases have been reported.
There have been 5 deaths related to the disease (2 deaths considered due to dengue, 2 with comorbidities that could have been determinants of death, 1 under investigation).
The most affected departments are Salto (308), Paysandú (217), Montevideo (78), Artigas (27), Rivera (24), San José (16), and Canelones (11).
