Dengue in Palembang, Indonesia

July 17, 2024

Health authorities in Indonesia have reported that dengue cases in Palembang have decreased in recent weeks since April.

So far this year, 925 cases of severe dengue and 14 deaths (7 women and 7 men) have been reported. The most affected district is Surakami (105 cases), and the least affected is Ilir Timur (25 cases).

This decrease is attributed to the vector control measures implemented.
