Dengue in Olancho, Honduras

To date, Honduras has recorded over 149,000 cases of dengue in 2024, with a total of 190 confirmed deaths. This year has surpassed the figures from 2019, which had previously been the most critical, with 180 deaths.

The most recent death was that of a 10-year-old girl from El Ocotal, Manto municipality, Olancho. She was transferred to San Francisco Hospital for treatment but, unfortunately, did not survive.
