Mexican health authorities have reported 20,249 confirmed cases of dengue as of July 1, 2024, a significant increase compared to the number of cases in the same period of 2023 (4,400 cases).
There have been 9,041 cases with severe symptoms. Additionally, 49 deaths have been reported in 10 states of the country.
The states with the highest number of cases are Guerrero (3,766), Tabasco (2,795), Veracruz (1,782), Michoacán (1,475), and Chiapas (1,369). All four serotypes of the disease are circulating in the country.
