Malaysian health authorities reported 317 dengue cases and 4 deaths in epidemiological week 29 (EW29 – July 14 to 29).
The total number of cases recorded in the country the previous week (EW28) was 2,690 cases and 6 deaths.
There are 94 detected “hotspots” of the disease. 71 of them in Selangor, 6 in Perak, 6 in the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, 4 in Negri Sembilan, 4 in Kedah, 2 in Sabah, and 1 in Kelantan.
