Health authorities in Mali reported a new case of dengue in the Kayes region last week.
So far this year, 4,605 cases (614 confirmed and 3,991 suspected) and 4 deaths (CFR: 0.1%) have been reported in 9 of the 10 regions of the country.
The most affected region is Bamako, with 27% of the cases.
Two serotypes have been detected among the cases: DENV1 and DENV2.
The outbreak began in August 2023.
