Dengue in Guatemala (EW23): 27,951 cases and 10 deaths

Guatemala has reported 27,951 cases of dengue up to epidemiological week 23 (EW23) of 2024, marking a 516% increase compared to the same period in 2023 and an exponential rise of 734% compared to the average number of cases over the last five years.

The cumulative incidence this year in the country is 153 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, with 20 cases (0.07%) classified as severe and 10 deaths recorded (CFR 0.036%).
