Dengue in Cebu City, Philippines

Health authorities in the Philippines have reported 21 dengue-related deaths in Cebu City so far this year. The first two deaths occurred in March, followed by two more in June and July. In August, seven deaths were recorded, four in September, three in October, and one in November.

The number of dengue cases in the city has been steadily declining since late September. During the first week of December, Cebu City reported only 15 dengue cases, a significant drop compared to the 292 cases recorded during the last week of August. In total, the city has reported 4,132 cases this year.
