Dengue in Burkina Faso: 28,944 Cases and 47 Deaths

Health authorities in Burkina Faso have reported 674 new cases of dengue since July 5 across 13 regions of the country, representing an 18% increase.

So far this year, there have been 28,944 cases (22,529 suspected and 6,415 probable) and 47 deaths (CFR: 0.2%). The central region of the country accounts for 61% of the cases and 40% of the deaths.

This situation is a continuation of the outbreak that began in September 2023.
