Health authorities in Brazil have reported over 6 million cases of dengue in 2024. As of June 19, 6,007,048 cases have been reported, including 3,999 deaths and an additional 2,831 deaths under investigation. More than 4.2 million cases are classified as confirmed.

The number of reported cases so far this year represents an increase of more than 200 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

The state of São Paulo and the state of Minas Gerais have seen the highest number of cases, with 1,829,439 and 1,620,083 cases, respectively. These states also lead in dengue-related deaths, with 1,172 in São Paulo and 692 in Minas Gerais.

The Federal District, where Brasília is located, has the highest incidence of dengue with 9,577 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The national incidence rate stands at 2,958 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
