Dengue in Bangladesh ⬆

Health authorities in Bangladesh have reported an increase in dengue cases in recent weeks. In the last 24 hours alone, a total of 7 patients died, and 1,211 were admitted to various hospitals across the country.

Of these, 108 dengue patients were hospitalized in the Barishal division, 139 in Chattogram, 291 in the Dhaka division, 221 in North Dhaka City, 190 in South Dhaka, 130 in Khulna, 67 in Rajshahi, 43 in Mymensingh, 18 in Rangpur, and 8 were admitted to different hospitals in the Sylhet division.

So far this year, the total number of cases has risen to 74,800, with 367 deaths reported.

In 2023, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 321,179 dengue cases.
