As of November 16, 2024, health authorities in the Philippines reported a 332.4 percent increase in dengue cases in the city of Bacolod compared to the same period in 2023.
A total of 2,266 dengue cases were recorded, with five fatalities. During the same period last year, there were only 524 cases and three deaths.
Among the 61 barangays, Barangay Taculing topped the list with 254 cases, followed by Barangay Mansilingan with 182 cases; Barangay Bata with 173 cases; Barangay Estefanía with 172 cases; Barangay Villamonte with 141 cases; Barangay Mandalagan with 119 cases; Barangay Tangub with 118 cases; Barangay Alijis with 113 cases; Barangays Sum-ag and Singcang-Airport with 101 cases each; Barangay Banago with 82 cases; Barangay Cabug with 89 cases; and Barangay Granada with 81 cases.
